Where We Stand Today

Nelvoi Ltd has not launched. Accounts are not open, no card has been issued, and NELVOI does not currently hold, and does not claim to hold, any financial licence, registration or authorisation. Nothing anywhere on this site should be read as such a claim.

We are completing partner and regulatory arrangements. Card programmes of this kind are normally structured with a licensed issuing institution holding the permissions and issuing the cards, and the customer-facing company building the product on top. That is the structure we are pursuing.

This page exists so that the position is stated plainly in one place rather than left to be inferred. A company that is not yet licensed and does not say so is telling you something about how it will behave later.

What Will Be Published Here

Before accounts open, and not after, the following will appear on this page and in the footer of the Site:

Legal entity. The full registered name, company registration number, jurisdiction of incorporation and registered address of the operating entity.

Issuing partner. The name of the licensed institution issuing the cards, its regulator and its licence or registration number.

Registrations. Any registration or authorisation held directly by Nelvoi Ltd, with the issuing authority, the number and the date it was granted.

Permitted activities. The specific activities each registration covers, and the markets in which the service is offered.

Supervisory authority. The regulator responsible for supervising the entity, and the route for complaining to it independently of us.

How to Verify It

When those details appear, do not take them on our word. Every serious financial regulator publishes a public register, and a registration number that cannot be found in the register of the authority that supposedly issued it is not a registration.

We will link directly to the relevant register entry from this page. If a provider — us or anyone else — quotes a number without a way to check it, that is worth noticing.

What We Will Not Do

We will not describe an application as an authorisation, a partner's licence as ours, or a registration in one activity as covering another. These are the three ways this industry routinely misleads people, and all three are common enough that it is worth naming them.

Where a service depends on a partner's permissions rather than our own, this page will say so explicitly and name the partner.
